MiC LEAD Builders™ — Creating Balance

MiC LEAD Builders™ is designed for entry- to mid-career cybersecurity professionals who are ready to take the next step in their professional growth.

Many professionals reach a stage where deep technical focus becomes a double-edged sword—expertise increases, but opportunities for broader advancement can feel out of reach. MiC LEAD Builders™ helps participants overcome that plateau by strengthening both technical and professional resilience.

Through structured learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration, participants learn to define success, articulate their value, and strategically plan their career trajectory to achieve lasting impact—while maintaining balance and avoiding burnout.

This five-month, 30-hour program empowers professionals to take ownership of their career journey with intention, confidence, and clarity.

Program Format

  • Duration: 5 months (30 hours total)
  • Schedule: Live virtual sessions, twice a month on Saturdays, 2:00–5:00 PM ET
  • Start Dates: January and July (specific start date provided upon acceptance)

Commitment

Course participants are limited to ensure a collaborative and personalized learning experience. Because engagement is key, sessions are not recorded, and participants are required to:

  • Attend all live sessions in full
  • Keep cameras on during active sessions to encourage connection and accountability
  • Participate actively and respectfully in discussions and group activities
If a participant misses more than two sessions or six total training hours, they may be removed from the program and ineligible to reapply for one full year.

 

Application and Selection Process

To apply, candidates must:

  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in a cybersecurity-related role
  • Submit a current résumé highlighting relevant experience
  • Provide a cover letter describing their current role and three-year professional goals

Applications will be reviewed by MiC Leadership to ensure cohort alignment.

Pricing and Membership

  • Course Fee: $2,500 USD
  • Application Fee: $50 (non-refundable, applied toward total if accepted)
  • Bonus: Non-members receive a complimentary one-year MiC membership (a $249 value)
