MNC-CTC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub
Connecting Global Community to Cyber Workforce Pathways
What Is the MNC-CTC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub?
The MNC-CTC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is the anchor that integrates training, community leadership, and employer-aligned talent pathways into a single workforce ecosystem.
Rather than treating community, education, and employment as separate efforts, the Hub aligns them into a coordinated model that supports individuals as they move from career exploration to professional practice and long-term leadership.
For Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC), the Hub serves as the bridge between a global cybersecurity community and real-world career pathways—ensuring that leadership development, professional identity, and peer connection are meaningfully connected to education and workforce engagement.
The Role of MiC within the Hub
Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC) serves as the leadership development and community foundation of the Hub.
Through leadership development programming, mentorship, coaching, and connection to a global network of cybersecurity professionals, MiC supports professional growth, leadership capability, and peer engagement for individuals at all stages of their cybersecurity journey.
MiC’s offerings are non-credit, non-instructional professional development. MiC does not provide technical cybersecurity training, occupational instruction, or employment services. Instead, MiC prepares individuals to engage effectively with education, apprenticeship, and workforce pathways coordinated through the Hub.
This clear separation ensures that community and leadership development remain distinct from formal education and workforce placement, while still operating in alignment across the ecosystem.
How the Hub Comes Together
The MNC-CTC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub brings together three complementary components, each operating within a defined role:
-
Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC) — Leadership development and a global professional community that supports connection, growth, and long-term career advancement.
-
Mary N. Chaney Cybersecurity Training Center (MNC-CTC) — Structured, NICE Framework–aligned cybersecurity education delivered through a Texas Workforce Commission–approved Cybersecurity Residency Program.
-
MiC Talent Solutions — Apprenticeship programs and workforce pathways aligned with employer needs and real-world cybersecurity roles.
The Hub provides the infrastructure that aligns these components—connecting community, education, and workforce engagement into a cohesive, transparent ecosystem.
Why This Matters
Cybersecurity workforce efforts are often fragmented, with community building, education, and employment operating in isolation from one another. This fragmentation can make it difficult for individuals to navigate career pathways and for organizations to develop sustainable talent pipelines.
The Hub addresses this challenge by creating a unified ecosystem where leadership development and community engagement are intentionally connected to education and workforce readiness—while maintaining clear boundaries between each function.
Through MiC’s global community, participants gain the leadership skills, professional networks, and support needed to navigate career transitions and succeed over the long term.
Designed for Community and Partnership
The MNC-CTC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is built to collaborate with:
Each partner engages at the level that aligns with their mission and role, while the Hub maintains clear boundaries across community, education, and employment functions.
